Submission Guidelines

Not Accepting Submissions
We're not accepting submissions at this time.

dislocate, the literary journal of the MFA program at the University of Minnesota, invites submissions of poetry, fiction, nonfiction and art for its tenth issue.

The submission period for issue 10 will run from 11/1/2013 through 12/31/2013. While we are primarily looking for work from writers and artists with a connection to the Midwest, submissions will be accepted from elsewhere.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK:

Please send your work through our submittable page only. We regret that we are unable to accept submissions via email or post at this time.

For poetry submissions, please submit 3-5 poems in a single file.

For fiction submissions, please submit prose of no longer than 5000 words.

For nonfiction submissions, please submit prose of no longer than 5000 words.

For art submissions, please submit to us no more than 8 pieces as digital files (JPG, TIFF, PNG, PDF) at a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

All submissions must be previously unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please notify us of this in your cover letter and let us know immediately if the work is accepted elsewhere (please withdraw the piece from submittable or, if you are withdrawing one of several poems, indicate which poem is to be withdrawn via submittable note).
